The primary goal of the DBE Supportive Services Program is to enhance the participation of certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) contractors and consultants in FDOT projects. The program aims to increase both the number of certified DBEs engaging with FDOT and the percentage of dollars awarded to DBEs. Additionally, it seeks to foster the growth and eventual self-sufficiency of DBEs. The DBE Supportive Services Program offers a range of services tailored to support and empower DBEs in achieving these objectives.
For recently certified DBEs who have not attended an orientation, kindly reach out to us to arrange a session. Your participation in an orientation is crucial for familiarizing yourself with key information and procedures. We look forward to assisting you in getting started and maximizing your opportunities as a certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE).
All DBEs have access to an automated bid notification system. This system is designed to send you email notifications regarding contracting and subcontracting opportunities relevant to your specific work classifications. Upon registration, an individual web page will be generated, listing opportunities in your work classifications. You can log in at any time to view these opportunities.
Participating in DBE matchmaker conferences offers valuable networking opportunities for DBEs to establish new relationships with prime contractors, paving the way for potential future contracts. To stay informed about upcoming matchmaker conferences, please visit our home page for a list of scheduled events. These conferences serve as a platform to foster connections and facilitate collaboration between DBEs and prime contractors.
DBEs who have submitted bids, whether as a subcontractor or prime contractor, for projects related to roadway and bridge work (including FDOT, city, county projects, etc.) are eligible to apply for participation in the Business Development Program. This program offers more detailed and technical training, tailored to the individual needs of participants. For further details on the Business Development Program and the application process, please reach out to us for more information.
The assistance mentioned is facilitated through the Bond Guarantee Program.
The Construction Management Development Program offers both classroom and on-the-job training to augment the technical and business management skills of DBEs.
